Of course if you're not in a rush, longer, hmmm?
How believable is a stranger to you, or
even someone you know, when it comes to making money? If they came
to you with some new scheme, how would you know to believe it or not?
How does another good person know that they really CAN earn say, $1,000
in a month, NET, with you and your company?
Or, how can they come to believe that there IS a straightforward formula
that you can show them, for earning, say, a $2500/mo override income,
on the business you're asking them to build with you?
Let me ask you this: Who in your organization (or you if you're just
starting out) could recite, in 5 or 6 sentences, the rest of this
direction:
"Here's what has to happen for someone
to earn $1k net with us:"
With NO jargon or any other words a 6th grader wouldn't recognize.
Could you do it at the drop of a hat without stumbling or backtracking?
Could your babies?
Don't get too depressed if the answer is 'uhh...'.
It didn't come easily or at all to lots of folks on my weekly
international conference calls during these past 4-5 weeks. Almost
no one could do it, either impromptu or succinctly.
Everyone was surprised at everyone else, and at themselves. It was
especially entertaining when different people tried to give 'Directions
on how to earn $1k in our company', and others from the same company
would jump in and say, 'No that's not it, here's the way it is, well,
no, uh, actually...' etc.
So about 6 weeks ago, I put out the word that we were going run a
contest and post "Directions on how to earn $1,000 in one month
with me and my company" for different successful companies. Then
everyone can check and download (=print out) the info, and have it
handy for those calls where people ask either:
What
has to happen for me to earn $1k (say) with your company?
Or worse:
How much have you made? (Especially
hard when it's puny still.)
OK, let's do it. How about we set up the script structure first, so
it can 'fill-in-the-blank' routine for everyone.

PROSPECT:
What has to happen for me to make, say, $1000 with your company?
YOU: OK,
I can tell you that right off. First, you understand that they pay
us because we help them grow...get more customers and find more
reps for them who get more customers and more reps. That's what
they pay us for. You understand that part, right?
PROSPECT:
Ok, yes.
YOU: Good.
So just one more thing I need to ask you so I know best how to tell
you: How fast do you want to go? Turbo speed? Medium or the leisure
track?
(Note: this is to help you and
them decide where to 'position' themselves when they DO come in.
After all, if someone says 'leisure track' would you want to pitch
them on the biggest commitment right off? How responsive to them
would THAT be?)
PROSPECT:
Turbo speed. I'd like to go really fast.
YOU: Great!
And about how much time per week would you commit to this, IF you
were going to do it, I mean? Focused time where nothing else is
going on except this. Like how many hours a week, you think?
(Note: this is an optional question,
but it helps you and them get a fix on how much time they are willing
to commit that's focused, should they go further.)
PROSPECT:
10-15 hours a week.
YOU: OK
great. Here's what has to happen for someone to make $1k net their
first month: In most companies, the amount of money you make depends
on the position you have in the company. You know that right?
PROSPECT:
Uh huh.
YOU: OK
well there are X (number of starting positions in your company)
choices you can start at. Since you said you wanted to go turbo
speed, like really fast, which is what I did, you could do what
I did, since that's what I wanted to do as well. Here are the 3
steps to make $1000 net right off:
-
Come in at the
'NAME OF POSITION' position. That means you register with the
company and come in with $XXX to start your business. That's at
least cheaper than the average cost of a franchise, which they
say is about $40,000 now. Isn't that something?
Anyway, here's what has to happen to earn that$XXX back, plus
$1000 more:
-
Get XX customers
using the service/product, people who want the same benefits we
want.
-
Find X people
like you and me, who want to build a business as well, and who
will also get XX customers on the service/product. That gets you
$XXX. Your initial money back, plus the $1000. Neat huh?
People have done it
in a month. Some take longer. Depends on how soon they want that $1000.
If they ask: How do
I find good people?
PROSPECT:
How do I find the people for this? I don't want to start with people
I know.
YOU:
Ugh. I know just what you mean. That is SO last millennium! There
are 12 or 14 different methods of reaching out to find the right people,
and they're all in this fat
cartoon book we all get. So you don't have to talk to anyone you
know if you don't want to. We'll show you how to do this so you don't
even hear 'no', either. You can do it online, offline, all kinds of
different ways. You choose the methods, and we show you how
to do it in teams of people who are doing the same thing.

How does that sound? Think you could do that if we showed you how?
* Use your good judgment here based on these responses.
YOU: Well let me tell you where I am.
I came in at X (you name the position) position, and have XX customers
so far, and X reps. I'm getting X more customers and X more reps and
then I'll have made $XX. Then I'll show XX others how to do it, you
know, people who also want to build a business of their own like this
so they don't have to depend on old fashioned earned income anymore.
That's just so last century!
People doing this have some pretty good income after 2-3 years. So
I'm doing it too. They showed me how. What about you? You want to
do something for yourself with us if we do it together?
